Makes: 36 Total Time: Overnight Active Time: 15 minutes
Ingredients:
2 cups chocolate chips (milk or dark)
2 cups heavy cream
12 oreos
Instructions:
In a heat proof bowl, combine heavy cream and chocolate chips. Melt in microwave for about 1 minute, until the chocolate chips are just melted. Stir until glossy and no lumps remain. Cover and chill in the microwave overnight.
Separate the cream from the Oreo cookies, and crush the cookies until fine crumbs form, and pour into a small bowl. In another small bowl, melt the Oreo cream until it is runny, about 1 minute.
Onto a parchment lined baking sheet, scoop the chilled ganache into 1/2 tbsp balls. Take each of these balls and roll them in the cookie crumbs until full coated and easier to handle. Return to the cookie sheet.
Once every truffle has been coated in cookie crumbles, use a fork dipped in the Oreo cream and quickly drizzle over each truffle.
Re-firm the truffles in the freezer for 30 minutes before serving, or store in the fridge if they are not going to be eaten right away. Then, enjoy your easy oreo truffles!
